I had a camera.
Technically, it was not my camera. It belonged to my high school's intro photography class but I treated it as if it were mine.
It was a PENTAX K-1000 and I loved it from the very start. The dated look and feel of the case, antiquated and charming in the same moment. The sound of the mechanical shutter that felt as a small hammer inside... KACHUNK... every time I pressed that little doughnut of a shutter button. Mechanical joy.
I've loved photography ever since those first days and I will continue to love photography for the rest of my days.
I was born and raised in Ohio, spent some little time traveling bits of the globe, moved to San Fran, and landed in ATL where I currently reside and spend my days organizing PechaKucha here, an art house cinema, and shooting shooting shooting. My pup, Arco, is my best friend (we go nearly everywhere together including backpacking excursions) followed closely by my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens.
And I love collaboration.
